EXCELLENT ADHESION TO EPS, XPS
Self-adhesive foam can be used for mounting polystyrene panels (XPS or EPS) for thermal insulation.
Technical Specifications:
- The product cures in a humid environment, with initial adhesion achieved within 20 minutes and full curing after approximately 2 hours.
- It is resistant to all weather conditions, seawater, steam, and moisture.
- Operating temperature: +5°C to +35°C.
- Coverage: Up to 12m², depending on air temperature, humidity, and application method.
How to Use:
- Ensure all surfaces are firm, clean, and free of grease and loose debris (dust, mortar residues, old sealant, etc.).
- Do not use in rain or strong wind.
- Moisten the surface directly before application.
- Avoid potential contamination of woodwork and joints.
- Shake the can vigorously (30 times) to mix the contents thoroughly. The can should be at room temperature (immerse the can in warm water if necessary).
- Screw the can onto the gun nozzle and adjust the application.
- Hold the gun 2 cm from the surface during application.
- Apply the foam directly onto the surface of the polystyrene foam in a 3 cm wide adhesive strip around the perimeter of the panel, approximately 5 cm from the edge, and in a zigzag pattern in the middle.
- After approximately 2-4 minutes, apply the panel to the wall, press lightly, and determine its final position within a maximum of 15 minutes (at 20°C and 65% RH). At higher temperatures and humidity, the correction time is shortened, and at lower temperatures, it is extended.
- Wait a few minutes before applying the panels to the wall to allow the adhesive's initial expansion and facilitate subsequent position adjustments.
- Use the same adhesive to fill gaps and joints between panels (the foam will expand and fill the empty spaces as it cures).
- The type and number of mechanical fasteners will determine the thermal insulation of the construction project.
- Excess material should be removed mechanically after curing, and fresh stains should be cleaned with Grafen Professional PU cleaning foams.
Storage: Store in a dry, cool place in closed containers at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C.
Shelf Life: 12 months from the manufacturing date. The production date is printed on the packaging.
